It increasingly appears to be Joseph Scrimshaw's world, yet he's considerate enough to allow us to live in it. Not only is his Adventures in Mating on an indefinite weekly run at the Bryant-Lake Bowl (in addition to being franchised in numerous cities), he's now putting his stamp on the holidays. Fat Man Crying features a spectacularly depressed Santa crawling through a happy couple's window on Christmas Eve. Whether they save him or he destroys them is the comedic question. Scrimshaw writes and directs Fat Man, while donning the producer's hat for It's a Meaningless Life!, a late-night cabaret spoofing, among other subjects, Scrooge and the Grinch, with talents including Joshua Scrimshaw, Tim Uren, and playwright Alan Berks. — Quinton Skinner

I think we should go Holiday shopping :). Perhaps a Cities light tour?

A night of crafting would do us all good as well.

What about just seeing a movie locally? I recall that past GWEs have done this. Still haven't seen Bee Movie, though something that comes out that week might be fine, too. (Also, note to adam: you didn't add my sledding idea to the list above. Clearly you hate me. I understand.)

I'd really like to get some snowboarding in this year but I'm not sure the weather will cooperate.

Lutsen ( about 5 hours from Rochester ) opens this weekend and should have 20 - 25 runs open : http://www.lutsen.com/winter/snow_report/

Welch Village ( only about an hour away ) currently has 4 runs open and should be opening more soon.

The only good thing about not having much open is that lift tickets are cheaper.

Just thought I would comment so people don't think its impossible. I like the ideas above. Another one might be to go sledding sometime, if there is enough snow. Hopefully there will be! Come on snow!

Also, I know that a lot of us are having our area goodie day on the 13th, so it would be good if we could have at least one cookie making day before that, so that the people who need to make cookies or other holiday goodies wouldn't have to make even more outside of that. Are there other areas having goodie days in that week that we should plan for?
